e-Commerce Software
Introduction and a brief Software Introduction

A computer becomes a server to attend Web, Telnet and FTP requests through systems such as Apache and IIS from Microsoft. Apache is the name of a Foundation created to develop the Apache Project, belonging to the Open Source Systems organizations category and IIS stands for Internet Information Server of Microsoft. All theses servers need an Operating System, for instance Unix and Windows NT, from Unix and Microsoft respectively. You may find an excellent Unix Tutorial in Spanish here. We recommend you to take a look to the Unix history, a real information milestone. It belongs to the Open Group a non-profit organization created to mediate objectively between IT vendors and buyers. Windows NT belongs to Microsoft.

Note: Unix had become a generic to describe everything related to its concept, namely: Linux, Solaris, Hpux. Iris, Digital Unx, etc.
