Area: Iron and Steel Industry Subject: Laborers Free Time Optimization Responsibility: Senior Advisor: Juan Chamero Made for: SIDOR - The Orinoco River Iron and Steel Complex - Venezuela Description This complex intended to optimize the free time of its Labor Force and of their families as well in order to improve at the same time the General Welfare and the corporative efficiency. We advise the SIDOR staff how to cope with these two problems at the same time with mathematical models. We present to them a set of possible models to represent its reality focused on its Labor Force evolution and we demonstrate them how to use them with running some pilot samples. They were astonished seeing that, for example, it's perfectly possible to increase productivity investing in health and fitness as many Japanese corporations do with their personnel. |
