Description
A Linear Programming Model, PLEX, (Which stands in Spanish for Linear Programming via Simplex Method), was built and tuned-up in reality for ENAP, the National Oil Corporation of Chile, in its premises. It was programmed for extremely scarce computing resources, and tested for systems with more than 100 equations and more than 400 variables. Overcoming the limiting problem of the noisy propagation of rounding errors. That was the first time the ENAP staff could invert high order matrices without significant errors.
